During his 60 year ministry, Dr. Douglass has served as a college theology professor, college president (Atlantic Union College), vice-president of a publishing house, president of a wellness facility (Weimar Institute), vice-president for philanthropy at Adventist Heritage Ministry, and most recently, as consultant for Amazing Facts Ministry. Author of many books and articles, Dr. Douglass earned his doctorate in 1964 at the Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, California.

Dr. Douglass joined The Hope of Survivors Board of Directors in September 2008. When asked why he wanted to be part of this organization he replied, “The Hope of Survivors is long overdue. After more than 60 years in denominational service, it seems that I have seen it all. The Nelsons took reality by the horns and did something that is profoundly necessary and now accessible to many. Our job is to make their services well-known. I am committed to do my part.”
