Buffy Halvorsen is a Marriage and Family Therapist who is currently the Pastor for Family Life at the College View Church on the Campus of Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has also served on the pastoral staff with her husband Ron, who has been the senior pastor at Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church on the campus of Southwestern Adventist University and at Sligo Church on the campus of Columbia Union College. They have also worked together at churches in Florida, Washington and Montana.

Ron and Buffy have two children who are students at Union College. Ron, III is a senior English major and Stephanie is a junior psychology major.

God has called Buffy to help make marriages stronger and heal wounds caused by sin in His children. She is grateful for the honor He has given her to work for Him. She is an International speaker and author of the book “To My King, Open Letters to the God Who Hears.” Buffy joined The Hope of Survivors as a volunteer counselor in June 2008.
